Cook'n Review and Giveaway 2/1

Everyone is talking about their New Years Resolutions.  Mine this year is for me and my boyfriend to become more organized and to start making meal plans and eating things that are better for us. I have been slowly gathering recipes for us to try and saving the ones that we actually like. 

This software Cook'n Recipe Organizer is the perfect tool for us! The reason it is, is really simple.  This software makes it so I can make my own cookbook full of different recipes that I can organize my own way.  I chose to do it by meal type as my chapters instead of types of foods.


The software was really easy to manipulate and the search engine to find new recipes was AMAZING!  I had so much fun searching for different recipes and need to still put in all of mine that are on paper, but the form is so simple that I know it won't take long!


Once I had added the recipes to each chapter I then looked through the 23 different themes for the cookbook and picked one that I really liked!  I was on a roll and having tons of fun so I just kept going.

Not only does this software let you search for recipes and make a cookbook, but it has a few other features as well!  There is a feature that will make you up a shopping list of everything that you need for a specific recipe.  All you do is tell it which recipe and it will populate the list for you.  It will give you an average price for each item on your list which you can change and edit to see what it would come out to as a total even before you go shopping!  This is a great feature that I fell in love with.

There is also a really easy way for you to hand out recipes to your family and friends!  Instead of printing out the whole cookbook you can turn it into HTML or email it to someone so that they can have the recipe!  

Another feature that Cook'n has is that you can make a menu for the week.  I think is great because it helps me to plan ahead and see that I have enough variety in the different meals I am planning. 


Finally, the last feature I love is the fact that it can pull the nutritional value for everything in a recipe.
