Catch A Character Review and Giveaway

iCaughtSanta.com Review/Giveaway

I was given the opportunity to review and giveaway 5 free codes for a free iCaughtSanta picture.  This website is actually part of a group of websites called CatchACharacter.com.  At this website you can pick from a variety of different characters including: Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Cupid.  Since, it is the holiday season I did my review on Santa Clause.

To begin I went to CatchACharacter.com and clicked “Get Started” the large green button in the middle of the webpage.  Once this was clicked a window popped up allowing me to pick which character I wanted.  It looked like this:

Following this I was taken to the iCaughtSanta.com website where I reviewed the information.  It was really easy just 3 simple steps.  At this first page you can also preview all the different Santa Clause Poses.

Step 1: Capture/Upload your image

This was very simple I clicked on the image that said Capture underneath it.  This popped up a new window for me to upload my image.  By clicking browse you can pick which picture on your computer you want after this fill out your email address and name as shown below

Step 2: Create

Once this is done you click upload and it will upload the image changing your window to your uploaded image with a box explaining what you need to do to add Santa to your picture.

I did flip through a few pictures before picking my final image by pressing the green 'UPLOAD NEW PHOTO' button in the top right of the window.

Closing that box by clicking the little ‘x’ starts the editing process.  From here I browsed through the Santa images and picked out the second image for mine.  When you first add him he is really small so I enlarged him about half way to max size so that he is in proportion with everything in the picture.  Now, since the lighting is poor in my image I chose to edit the color and brightness of Santa to make it so he matched the image better.  This as well was a simple and quick process.

The picture now looked like the image above, but I wasn’t done yet.  It is not something that is required, but I chose to add a border.  The reasoning for maybe not picking to add a border is if you plan on printing a 4x6 image because this would most likely not print the border on the image.  In order to have the border printed with it you need to print a 5x7 picture.  I liked many of the borders and had two that I liked the most.  The pick was tough between:

My first picture attempt in which I liked this border, but I thought it cut into the picture a little too much.  These bigger borders would be perfect for an image that is set farther back.
This was my second attempt with this picture and I was happy with it, however this was my friend's Christmas tree from a previous year so I switched to the new picture.
This was my final choice of picture and border.  I really liked the red, white, and green light appearance with the border and it was more on the simpler side.

Once I was happy with the last image I pressed the ‘Process Image’ button and verified that I wanted to indeed process it.  This took me to the billing page which I added the discount code and finalized the order.  After finalizing the order I had to click a button to send a confirmation to my email.

Step 3: Share

Doing this also refreshed the page and sent me to the page where I could download my picture, choose to print it through Walgreens (would have to pay Walgreens and pick up the picture at my local store), and to view the five Santa Clause videos that were made specifically with my image.

I thought you might also like to see the five videos that were created from my picture.  These can be found below:

Over all the process of making this memorable image took me a half an hour.  This could have been done a lot faster had I not wanted to be thorough in trying everything out to see how everything worked with their software.  I believe that the videos as well as the picture are things that a child will cherish and get so excited about!

Disclaimer::

The image I used was a picture from a friend of mine and the picture and videos have been sent to her as a gift for her adorable little daughter, Kaci.  This was all done with her consent knowing that I would be using it for a review online.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using MomBlogSociety.com.  Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  8. I didn't deocrate much at my apartment, because we spend very little time there and I honestly don't have the money to spend on most decorations. I did make paper snowflakes with son and hung them up all over his room and on the windows in both my living room and his room (only two windows in apartment). I also hung up one of his stockings next to the window in my living room, above the picture of a Christmas tree I helped my son color.
