The Santa Video Review and Giveaway! 12/22
The Santa Video is a company that produces short videos from an image of your house the way it is set up for the Holiday Season. These videos are made with "Santa Clause" playing out the various different actions in front of a green screen so that your picture can be put in as the background. Most of the time they have many purchases go through on Christmas Eve so that everything is set up to look like it will Christmas morning for the kids. I love this idea! When I was little I would have loved seeing a video of Santa in my house from the night before! The process was fast and explained thoroughly on the website and I found it easy to navigate!
To begin this process I went to www.thesantavideo.com and looked around the website. Everything was straight forward. The banner at the top has a large "Create Video" button that I clicked which took me to a webpage that asked me for the age of the child that this video is oriented for as well as your email address for future reference.
Once this was filled out I clicked the 'NEXT' button below these two options. Instead of just jumping into making the video I watched their little tutorial video which was very informative and showed me exactly what I will be doing. After watching the video I followed Step 1 Uploading my picture.
Choosing an image for me was difficult since I do not have a tree up in my home. Since, my home is still a mess from moving a few months ago and the fact that we are not actually in our home for Christmas we opted to not decorate the home with many decorations. I tried a few pictures, but ultimately chose a picture of my cousin, Kristy's home since I used my friend Mandi's for my other i Caught Santa Giveaway.
Once the picture is uploaded to the website you move onto Step 2 'Select a Santa'. This was the fun part. Below the image that you uploaded there are 8 little miniature pictures with the play button showing on them. You can either hover your cursor over each one to watch the sample videos or you can click it and see it in the larger screen. I decided to just preview each one below because it was easier than clicking each one every time. All of these videos are so cute!
In the end I chose video #3 as the one that I used for the video that I made. This is the end of Step 2. Step 3 is picking out the music. They have a nice selection of five different songs to pick from as well as the option to add no music to the video.
The Songs to choose from are:
The Songs to choose from are:
- Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies
- Jesu, Joy of a Man's Desiring
- Jingle Bells
- Oh, Little town of Bethlehem
- Silent Night
I chose Silent Night as the song for the video because it is one of my favorite Holiday songs. I really liked how the beginning of the music makes it sound like it is transmitting from somewhere else as if it could be coming from Santa Clause's sleigh or something that he is wearing.
Once you have finished this you will want to click the blue 'PREVIEW' button to make sure that you like the music with the clip of Santa Claus. I was satisfied with the video of Santa Clause meshed with the music when I previewed it so I went to the final step. The 'DONE' button is the green one located next to the PREVIEW one clicked before and this took me to the final payment page.
The video normally costs $14.95 as seen above, but with the code that can be won in this giveaway you can buy it for FREE. If you would like to buy yours today or buy one as a gift for someone you can get $4 off of the purchase by liking them on Facebook.
If video does not play just go HERE.
** I did have an issue with the video initially not working due to my browser timing out during the purchase of my video. This was resolved in a very prompt manner. I had a response within the hour and the problem was resolved shortly there after! I must admit that I have not had such a prompt response for a service ticket ever before!!! I am overly satisfied with their customer service!**

Catch A Character Review and Giveaway
iCaughtSanta.com
Review/Giveaway
I was given the opportunity to review and giveaway 5 free codes
for a free iCaughtSanta picture. This
website is actually part of a group of websites called
CatchACharacter.com. At this website you
can pick from a variety of different characters including: Santa Clause, the
Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Cupid.
Since, it is the holiday season I did my review on Santa Clause.
To begin I went to CatchACharacter.com and clicked “Get
Started” the large green button in the middle of the webpage. Once this was clicked a window popped up
allowing me to pick which character I wanted.
It looked like this:
Following this I was taken to the iCaughtSanta.com website where
I reviewed the information. It was
really easy just 3 simple steps. At this
first page you can also preview all the different Santa Clause Poses.
Step 1: Capture/Upload your image
This was very simple I clicked on the image that said Capture
underneath it. This popped up a new
window for me to upload my image. By
clicking browse you can pick which picture on your computer you want after this
fill out your email address and name as shown below
Step 2: Create
Once this is done you click upload and it will upload the
image changing your window to your uploaded image with a box explaining what
you need to do to add Santa to your picture.
I did flip through a few pictures before picking my final image by pressing the green 'UPLOAD NEW PHOTO' button in the top right of the window.
Closing that box by clicking the little ‘x’ starts the editing
process. From here I browsed through the
Santa images and picked out the second image for mine. When you first add him he is really small so I
enlarged him about half way to max size so that he is in proportion with
everything in the picture. Now, since
the lighting is poor in my image I chose to edit the color and brightness of
Santa to make it so he matched the image better. This as well was a simple and quick
process.
The picture now looked like the image above, but I wasn’t done
yet. It is not something that is
required, but I chose to add a border. The
reasoning for maybe not picking to add a border is if you plan on printing a
4x6 image because this would most likely not print the border on the
image. In order to have the border
printed with it you need to print a 5x7 picture. I liked many of the borders and had two that
I liked the most. The pick was tough
between:
My first picture attempt in which I liked this border, but I thought it cut into the picture a little too much. These bigger borders would be perfect for an image that is set farther back.
This was my second attempt with this picture and I was happy with it, however this was my friend's Christmas tree from a previous year so I switched to the new picture.
This was my final choice of picture and border. I really liked the red, white, and green light appearance with the border and it was more on the simpler side.
Once I was happy with the last image I pressed the ‘Process
Image’ button and verified that I wanted to indeed process it. This took me to the billing page which I
added the discount code and finalized the order. After finalizing the order I had to click a
button to send a confirmation to my email.
Step 3: Share
Doing this also refreshed the page and sent me to the page
where I could download my picture, choose to print it through Walgreens (would
have to pay Walgreens and pick up the picture at my local store), and to view
the five Santa Clause videos that were made specifically with my image.
I thought you might also like to see the five videos that were
created from my picture. These can be
found below:
Over all the process of making this memorable image took me a
half an hour. This could have been done
a lot faster had I not wanted to be thorough in trying everything out to see
how everything worked with their software.
I believe that the videos as well as the picture are things that a child
will cherish and get so excited about!
Disclaimer::
The
image I used was a picture from a friend of mine and the picture and videos
have been sent to her as a gift for her adorable little daughter, Kaci. This was all done with her consent knowing
that I would be using it for a review online.
I
received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using
MomBlogSociety.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use
personally and believe will be good for my readers.
