The Santa Video is a company that produces short videos from an image of your house the way it is set up for the Holiday Season. These videos are made with "Santa Clause" playing out the various different actions in front of a green screen so that your picture can be put in as the background. Most of the time they have many purchases go through on Christmas Eve so that everything is set up to look like it will Christmas morning for the kids. I love this idea! When I was little I would have loved seeing a video of Santa in my house from the night before! The process was fast and explained thoroughly on the website and I found it easy to navigate!
To begin this process I went to www.thesantavideo.com and looked around the website. Everything was straight forward. The banner at the top has a large "Create Video" button that I clicked which took me to a webpage that asked me for the age of the child that this video is oriented for as well as your email address for future reference.
Once this was filled out I clicked the 'NEXT' button below these two options. Instead of just jumping into making the video I watched their little tutorial video which was very informative and showed me exactly what I will be doing. After watching the video I followed Step 1 Uploading my picture.
Choosing an image for me was difficult since I do not have a tree up in my home. Since, my home is still a mess from moving a few months ago and the fact that we are not actually in our home for Christmas we opted to not decorate the home with many decorations. I tried a few pictures, but ultimately chose a picture of my cousin, Kristy's home since I used my friend Mandi's for my other i Caught Santa Giveaway.
Once the picture is uploaded to the website you move onto Step 2 'Select a Santa'. This was the fun part. Below the image that you uploaded there are 8 little miniature pictures with the play button showing on them. You can either hover your cursor over each one to watch the sample videos or you can click it and see it in the larger screen. I decided to just preview each one below because it was easier than clicking each one every time. All of these videos are so cute!
In the end I chose video #3 as the one that I used for the video that I made. This is the end of Step 2. Step 3 is picking out the music. They have a nice selection of five different songs to pick from as well as the option to add no music to the video.
The Songs to choose from are:
The Songs to choose from are:
- Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies
- Jesu, Joy of a Man's Desiring
- Jingle Bells
- Oh, Little town of Bethlehem
- Silent Night
I chose Silent Night as the song for the video because it is one of my favorite Holiday songs. I really liked how the beginning of the music makes it sound like it is transmitting from somewhere else as if it could be coming from Santa Clause's sleigh or something that he is wearing.
Once you have finished this you will want to click the blue 'PREVIEW' button to make sure that you like the music with the clip of Santa Claus. I was satisfied with the video of Santa Clause meshed with the music when I previewed it so I went to the final step. The 'DONE' button is the green one located next to the PREVIEW one clicked before and this took me to the final payment page.
The video normally costs $14.95 as seen above, but with the code that can be won in this giveaway you can buy it for FREE. If you would like to buy yours today or buy one as a gift for someone you can get $4 off of the purchase by liking them on Facebook.
